I had a really great time last night as the spokesperson for the West Region Committee that organized the 4th annual Chocolate, Diamonds, and Champagne Event. I am so proud of the women I work with.  What’s wonderful about them is that we are all Realtors in the area yet we don’t look at each other as competition.  We enjoy each other’s company, we have a great time, and the best part — we put on one of the most amazing events of the year.  Actually, let me say it’s THE event of the year icon smile Chocolate! Diamonds! Champagne!

Every year we choose a local charity as our recipient for our fundraiser.  We chose the Interval House which is a shelter and a resource center for battered women and children.  There is actually an office in Simsbury so it’s really close to home for me, having an office myself in Simsbury.  We involve the local community by asking them to donate items for our silent auction, cakes for our live cake auction, and we also have a drawing at the end of the evening for an $800 diamond necklace!!  The community involvement is wonderful and I am so proud to say that we raised almost $7,000 from last night’s event – way to go girls!

Our MC was the fabulous Sarah French from Fox 61 news and she did a great job including us on the news to not only promote it, but to also mention it on last night’s 10 o’clock evening news and then AGAIN to recap on this morning’s 8am morning news.  WOW!  Here I am with her on Tuesday’s morning news promoting the event as the West Region’s spokesperson:

The Hair Gallery in Tarrifville, CT did my hair and make-up for FREE for the event.  I never know what to expect with hair salons, but I have to say….wow!  If  you get a chance to be in the area of The Mill in Tariffville – check them out!  What a beautiful salon and what a great job they did on my hair/make-up.  Now I just need a foot massage for walking in my stilettos last night, LOL..

Feeling GREAT today & so proud to be on such a wonderful committee that does great things in the community  Chocolate! Diamonds! Champagne!
